More or less. Chaos. The way I understand fluid dynamics, there is a natural breakover, ALMOST AS IF there were springs to catch the pump back up to the input. There are no springs for that of coarse, but the fluid is not on a gradual percentage curve. Its almost a exponential curve. Why would you quit ford after almost 20 years?

Mark, you threw in bits and pieces of what I thought you were trying to frame as a complete story. If I misunderstood, I apoligize. I was trying to explain the three statges from stall to accel to coupling to lock. The way I thought most would grasp it is in a percentage , since these arent early buick transmissions and such that had a variable vein, this was a bad way for me to explain, but I think it may have helped a few that do not understand how or why the Converter works.

On a side note, I think I have asked three times now, please put a name to the tranny cooler. I would love to be able to point the finger at someone.

Sound about right?
Sounds exactly right to me.

Todd,

I don't have a name for the tranny cooler for you. If I did have it, I wouldn't put it out there anyway. I do not know which of the many people that were in that group was responsible for that particular cooler.
