power window gears

power window gears
i have an 87 f250 and i was wondering if anyone knew how to put gears in the passengerside door for the power windows. i have no idea how to even begin to do this. any ideas welcome. thanks Justin

If you want to upgrade from manual cranks to power it may not be too hard since Ford may have all the wiring in the door already. Someone will probably be along pretty soon with a good idea.

Probably has 3 plastic cogs in the gearbox which are broken. Buy the cog kit at AZ. Pull the power window motor, pull cover off of the gear box (3 screws) clean out the old grease and pieces of old plastic cogs, replace. new cogs kit usually runs about $15
