Heads leaking oil?
I'm new to the forum. I bought an '05 dually with 85k miles about 6 weeks ago.No tuner, 4" MBRP exhaust and airraid intake. After the 1st week, the EGR cooler went, and the dealer replaced under warranty.
A couple days after I got it back, I smelled oil burning every so often. I found out oil was dripping onto driver side exhaust manifold around the middle. I finally got back to the dealer today, and they said they couldn't determine the leak, so they put oil dye in, and I go back Monday to see where the leak is coming from. I (think) I can clearly see it leaking from the valve cover gasket. The dealer said it is possible the head is leaking oil - is this even possible? If that is the case, they are not going to warranty it because of the studs. While it was in there, I was informed it already has the ARP studs. I never even thought to look. Do these things have a problem with the valve covers leaking or I am facing some serious issues? Thanks for any input. Mark
