reverse seperation?

Question if any of you have run across this. Got another source of WVO. Titrated rather high - 9.1 g KOH per liter. plugged the numbers into the Bio-calculator for 250 ml (was a test batch) of WVO and came out with 4 grams. Heated mix to 130 as usual and added the methoxide. When it finally started to seperate, not near as quickly as other test batches with lower titration oils, the dark layer appeared to be forming on the top. it has now been about 20 minutes, and there is the glycerin layer on the bottom, but about a 1/8 inch dark layer on the top also.

what happened?

update. Gave it another few good shakes and let it seperate again. It was slow again, but came out right. The bio is not as clear as other test batches that I have made. Will let it set overnight.
