I have a turn signal switch for a standard steering column and I have an automatic steering column and the wire colors are different. Now normally I would have any trouble making this work but the person that owned the truck before me cut the old out and tossed it so I have nothing to go buy.. I would buy a column from the wrecking yards but they are no better and I already have this one completly rebuilt otherwise. Thanks for the help Steve
If you are looking to match colors to colors and stuff, there is a tech article on stop lamps which lists column wire colors. If you are still having trouble, list what colors you have on the column to the colors on the switch and we can match you up. List the years of each too.
Which ones do you have that are different?

Now the column is out of my 67 F-100 that I am restoring, and the wire colors go as such. white/ltblue, green/white, lt blue, green/orange, orange/purple, dk blue/yellow, dk green. Now as I said the original switch was cut off so I have now switch just wire's sticking out of the column and it is an auto column. Now the switch is out of a 69 F-100 that was a standard transmission so the wire colors are as such lt blue, red/black, white/lt blue, blue/yellow, green, lt green/white, yellow/black. Thank you again for you help. Steve
