Havi, how do you stay looking so good!!! I have the small hose from the water pump to the therm. housing and 6 nuts on the covers, is it the 302? thanks Pap.

The 4th digit of the VIN is the engine code. G is the code for a 302 2V.

No 400's were factory installed till 1977.

302 = 6 valve cover bolts / 400 = 8 valve cover bolts.

Pappie, if you have a 1972, you need to ask these Q's in the 1967/72 forum.

Here's the block of mine although i dont understand the fist series before the 6015 or the D afterwards
Here's the engine tag. Engine may not match up with vin...
Here's the door sticker. Hopefully one of you guys can clear this up

EBP-6015-H?

I just found this thread. I’m looking but haven’t found an answer to a similar question.

I have a f600 with a block with a EBP-6015-H. Would that still be the 223? What would be the best place to find these kinds of things in the future?
