ABS wire

My tire has rubbed my ABS wire to the driverside tire into.I spliced it back together and the light on my dash is still on. How do I get it to go off or is splicing it not good enough?

un hook the batteries and turn on the lights for 15 to 20 minutes...make sure the splice is sealed good for now and get a new wire sometime soon........

Yes you can replace it and yes, I do have an extra. I just pulled it off of one of my old hubs.

Look on the back side of the hub. There is a small socket head cap screw holding the wire into the hub. Remove that screw and pull the wire straight out. There is a proximity switch on the end of the cable.

If you need pics of the screw I have them and if you want this cable then send me your address and I will try to get it out tomorrow.

I'm gonna try unhooking the batteries and stuff and see what that does. I had a guy tell me the speed sensor couldve shorted out and if its too expensive i think I might just take the bulb out! If unhooking the batteries does the trick then I'll get that cable from ya. I think I know the bolt your talking about. I'm gonna go unhook the batts in do a little weedeeatn and I'll get back with ya in a few!

Well I unhooked my batts for probably 30 mins and hooked them back up and the light is still on. Any other ideas besides a fried speed sensor?

if it fryed the sensor then the light wont go out..maybe just the wire being broke is keeping it on....the sensor you can get at Napa for around 10 bucks

Hey thanks Ron cause I just called the dealer and they said $150 something for that sensor. I'm gonna try to pull the codes and see if that says anything.

It says no codes stored. Did call the parts house and they said the sensor is $13. Dont know what the heck the dealer was pricing me! Think it could still be the sensor?
