NoCal Wal-Mart Now Stocking Lucas Products
Not sure if I can speak for all Wal-Marts across the USA, but today I was in my local Wal-Mart for the first time since just before Memorial Day weekend in May. I see they are now stocking all kinds of Lucas Products. Their Injector cleaners, Oil Stabliziers, Synthetic Oil, Power Steering Stop Leak, ATF Stop Leak / Conditioner.
Also SEA-FOAM injector cleaners, and of course at Wal-Mart discount prices, Royal Purple Oil.
Just a F.Y.I.

Lucas is down here in Corona. It would be interesting to find out if it is nationwide or only regional in distribution. Ive noticed RP has made a lot of progress going "mainstream".
With the percentage of people doing their own work declining and with reasonable drain intervals finally "sinking in" with some, the retail oil market is shrinking. I dont know how much shelf space WalMart can justify for all these products.

That is a good price, and 5w40 Rotella-T is an excellent lubricant. The Dodge Cummins Turbo-Diesel owners swear by it, it is very popular with the Dodge Truck boys, with diesels.
I'd use 5w40 year around in our area of northern California. However, I think if I had a diesel and lived in the snow country, or the snowbelt areas of the USA in the Midwest, Heartland and Northeast (Canada everywhere) I'd use Shell's Rotella-T 10w30 diesel oil, and with a block heater in sub-zero winter conditions.

Jim, No I haven't seen the Chevron Delo 400 LE (10w30) yet, and was just in a high volume, modern Chevron the other day right off Highway 99 here in Sacramento. They carried regular Delo 400 15w40 in quart containers, and that's about it.
At work they can order anything via the Chevron regional wholesale jobber, about a year ago were were stocking 15w40 Delo and 10w30 Chevron Supreme for the fleet vehicles (trucks) and company vans for the salesmen, in 55 gallon drums. I always think to myself, how I would love having a 55 gallon drum of Chevron Supreme (available) in my garage! Pumping that oil out of the drum into quart containers (looks like a big gravey ladle when eating mash patatoes at Thanksgiving!) looks like liquid gold!
AS with anything in a company with fleet vehicles and equipment, they are always looking for a good price. Currently, we are stocking CITGO SuperGuard oils in the respective 55 gallon drums, but it's only a matter of time when some oil jobber smooth-talker comes in with a sharp pencil, and beats whatever price we're paying for CITGO oils!
My local COSTCO used to stock a nice selection of Chevron oils, ATF's (case packs and 4 quart jugs for Delo oils) I'll look during my next visit and see if there is any of the new
10w30 Delo oils as you mentioned.
I was buying four-packs of Chevron w/ Techron's Fuel System Cleaners too, saved almost $3 per container as what you'd pay at Pep Boys, Kragens, CarQuest or AutoZone for the same Chevron product. ( single 12oz. and 20oz. bottles, I beleive)
I love Chevron's ATF, their Dexron III's (now a new classification) always gave me great transmission service, never had a trans issue in the past 20+ years using Chevron regular ATF.
