Has anyone got a picture in galleries of a headliner whether it be stock or custom for the 53-56. Cheers All The 53 is coming along fine, we are putting in the brake lines and emergency brake cable. Wow what tedious job that is.
Hey Aussie....first-I used the "Roddoors" headliner and covered it but I found you had to do a little trimming of the tabs that hold it in place. They are just small pieces of the asb material that are kinda heat welded together. The problem I found is that if you stress these tabs much they POP apart. I had to drill and pop-rivet them back together. All holds good then.
second- are you bending your own lines? stainless? I know you no longer have a stock setup to order prefit stuff.

Here's mine. We made the bows and the headliner, it took a while and it's NOT perfect, but it is ok?? I wish that I hadnt used turqouise windlace and finger gaurds on the sunvisors.
I think it is some sort of cardboard or fiberboard thing much like the newer vehicles. It is flexible if you push on it gently. I have not taken it out yet to see.
Ed, we are using stainless steel lines. As I live near the beach about 50Ft away, I went with the stainless lines. It will make it last a little longer I hope, unless I went with Marine grade stainless and that is big bucks. We are bending and proding as we go. It is all fully custom. Cheers All and thanks for the pics of the headliners, it will give me a guide on how to do it.
