Uptade on injectors: they might, just might make it back to me by this time next week. Don has gone through them and found all to be functional and not in need of any repair (he does this with all the injectors he works on) and will start the modifications to them on Monday. They should be ready to ship by Wednesday, and with a little two day air I'll have them by Friday evening. Depending on what kind of help I can find, the engine could possibly get set in the truck next Saturday or Sunday.

The PCS is not programmed yet. I still have to figure that part out, but I don't think it will take much time. I'm done with work for the day and am getting ready to lay out that PCS harness and try to at least route it tonight and figure out what's what. Talking to Kai about it, he said there are way more wires in that harness than what actually gets used...which is a huge relief. The rest of them are for other things like data logging or other inputs/outputs for a variety of options. The PCS is really a pretty powerful device.

Jamie, I'm shooting for around 600 RWHP. It'll probably be a little less than that, say arond 550-575 when the engine goes in, but once I put a dual CP3 setup on it, that should bump be just over the 600 mark and possibly up to about 625. The turbo will run out of air at that point. I think there will be enough fuel available that I could get close to 800 HP if I were to feed some nitrous to it as well, but I don't know that for sure. I think I'll just be happy with 600 on fuel for a while, especially considering that I was only at 430 with the 7.3. I won't know what to do with that much power!

I suspect you will figure out something. I need you to make meticulous notes on this swap for some kinda silly interest I have in this. I cannot put my finger on it.

Once you cook your motor send me some of the go-fast stuff... my budget won't allow for any of it

I'll probably run it pretty much stock, without a programmer for the first little bit, just to let the engine parts break in before I hammer on them. It'll still be probably around 300 RWHP with the injectors and no programmer though. It's gonna be fun the first time I load up some tunes to it though.

I've never been much of one to do standing burnouts, but I'll do plenty of tire spinning as I take off from a stop. I have a feeling this brand new set of Toyo Open Country A/T's I had to be before Smokin isn't going to last too long. I wonder if they have any kind of tread life warranty?

A little more progress today. Motor mounts were dry, so I got them mounted on the engine. It's not much to see, but here they are.

I started looking over some of the wiring and A/C stuff tonight too, and I've got to find some stuff out for sure. Like on the A/C lines, there are hobbs switches on both sets of lines down next to the compressor. Which one do I need to keep and use? I'm guessing that I should use the Ford wires to control the compressor clutch and keep the Ford pressure switch. I'll find out though...guys have done this before and already figured it out.

One thing you guys might be able to help with though is some of the wiring off the passenger side. One of the guys who was helping to pull the engine unhooked some wires from a relay that didn't need to be unhooked and now I'm not sure how they go back together. On the passenger side inner fender, about in the middle, just below the level of the hood, there is a relay. 2 big posts and one small wire connected to it between those posts. It looks like this is something for the starter wires. I see a big rubber piece that has two ring terminals on it, that I'm pretty sure have battery powre from one side and the other side goes to the starter trigger. I'm assuming that piece goes on that relay. However, there is a set of 2 wires on one ring terminal coming from the direction of the firewall and I do not know which terminal it goes on. I think it would go to the constant battery supply side, but I have no idea what it's for and want to be sure, rather than guess and take a chance on screwing something up. Can you guys help?

Edit: Mike, I'm trying to keep very close track of everything. You and Kris both will probably end up doing this later, and I'd like to be able to help both of you.

Sounds like the solenoid for the starter. Can you take a picture of it and the wires?

I'm sure that's what it is, I just don't know the correct connection for the wires. I can get a pic of it all tomorrow if needed.

Kris, I'll remember how many questions I had and try not to get too fed up with you.

And funny thing about it is, i keep close track of yours and i looked at as many things i could on Kai's truck... I have a wierd photographic memory and once i see or read something i can remember it for god knows how long. I'm thinking about doing a PCS now, and getting a joystick like Charles for changing gears, so i might be in your boat on that PCS deal.

Pornographic > photographic.
Jeremy, if need be I'll snap a photo of my starter solenoid tomorrow for ya. If those new Toyos need a good home, I can trade you for a set of clapped out something-or-others
