The Optima is definitely corrosion-free, but they're REALLY expensive and if you even have an aftermarket radio, they won't warranty a red top. For ANY electrical mods, you have to buy a yellow to keep the warranty, which is almost twice as expensive, and their warranty isn't all that great anyway if you read the fine print. I did when I was looking for a good battery and the best ones I found were the Sears DieHard Gold & the Motorcraft Silver Series. Both of them have 8-year/3-free warranties and both are about $80. I chose the Ford because there are towns that have a Ford dealership but no Sears, so it's easier to get warranty adjustments on the Motorcraft.
