Last night I had my Explorer broke into. the meth user popped the door with a slim jim. I ran outside after haring my alarm. Anyway, I was told by police that the person would be booked and released. anyone else have this experience where the police dont help much
When my neighbor, who is an illegal without insurance or a license, got drunk and ran into my truck (totalling it, by the way), I had the cops come out when I found out about it the next day and the neighbor was there. Cops said they couldn't do anything, and wouldn't take him away. Criminals have too many rights.
that's why I took care of the situation myself, you can't rely on the cops to get here in time or care if your stuff gets stolen. the punks that like to break into cars and stuff around here get a surprise when they open the door, trunk, whatever. It won't hurt them, but it will scare the crap out of them and alert me or the neighbors that there is someone messing around.
Meth is a big thing around here too, but it doesn't matter what the drug it's all bad. Across the street I have a rental house, the people in there for the last year have made it as my wife says "a five minute house" people come and leave within 5 minutes and this guy has been a known pot dealer for years (as well as scamming SSDI etc) heck I have one city cop lives a block away and drives by all the time and NOTHING is done. I am even friends with a couple sheriffs deputies and one was over visiting one day and sat and watched a dozen people come and go, I asked him why nothing was done and he got real quiet then says "it's city jurisdiction we are told to not do anything within city limits unless asked"
Our family farm was featured in the Feb '99 "Rolling Stone' magazine in an article about meth. The author was along on the raid of the farm where two or three labs were found. We were all so proud that the place ended up like that....
It's too long a story as to how this all came to be, but the guy doing it got into meth due to the easy money selling to HS kids.
He is in jail and probably will be for some time.....but it took a while--over a year--for the sheriff to close in on the labs and a wide assortment of stolen equipment & cars, not to mention a bunch of dead cows left to rot.
Meth users are probably some of the worse drug users and criminals. Yep, released to commit more crimes until the trial or to kill someone in a vehicle accident.
Meth labs are a big problem out here and all the crime that goes with it...but I get to deal with it from the other side when they burn they are vicious fire with added dangers ...like we really need that.......

Move to Texas. We give you the right to shoot him so he's not a future problem.
I don't know about the rest of you, but the way the title of the thread was written, I thought we had a meth-head FTE member who wanted to get something off of their chest......
