Question '64 pickup

I have been looking for a 300 I6 for my '34 pickup for a few years. I thought I had one, but it appears to be different than a 300. It is in a '64 F100, I know it is not a 300, the intake/exhaust is on the wrong side. I thought maybe it was the small six found in the falcons/mustangs, but the intake is not cast integral with the head like those are. Were some them seperate, or is this an earlier model six?

Any help would be much appreciated.

It's probably a 223. The oil filter and distributor will be all the way at the front on the right side.

Cool!

It sounds like it may be a 262.

Are parts for these hard to come by?

It could either be a 223c.i. I-6 or its big brother the 262c.i. I-6.
