what do you guys think?

I have a 7.3 power stroke that I need to sell, the engine is complete and has the wiring harness. the motor has around 40,000 miles on it. what do you guys think it's worth? thanks for your time

Theres two guys here that are looking at new motors... they will be on in a bit i am sure

Wow that sounds like a great motor what year is it, there is two members muddiejeep and I cannot remebmer the other that are looking for new ones. I would say 3K or so maybe thats on the cheap end if anything I'll give you a bump!

I think 3000 would be the price i would sell it to a fellow FTE'er for... On the open market (I.E ebay) with only 40,000 they can go for 5000+... I paid just over 7 for mine but that was brand new from the dealership with warranty...

You selling the whole truck or just the motor
Post some more info about the truck and we can give you a better idea on what its worth

You might want to post it in the classified section on FTE also

I just read on another forum a guy blew his PMR motor (imagine that) and bought an early 99 motor at a junk yard for $1200, but that seems really low. I would guess in the $2000-$2500 range just taking a shot in the dark is what yours is worth.

The year of the engine will help determine the price and how quickly it sells. For example, if you have a PMR engine... not as many people will be ready to ****** it up compared to an engine with forged rods.

selling just the motor, tag on motor say jan 30 1998 so it must be for a 1999 truck.
