What would a 1998 power stroke diesel with about 40,000 miles be worth. it is all original and has every thing for the wiring harness.
thanks guys
eric
Welcome to FTE. In order to get an accurate price, you need to include cab type,
bed length, 2 or 4WD drive, model and any other info that might help.
Low mileage is always good but diesels need to be run regularly. If it has been setting
up for a while, it will probably need some maintenance.
Just off the cuff, I'd say something under $5000. would be fair.
thanks. it was out of a Fwd but I don't have the trans. My father had purchased it for a project but he just past away and I don't have a use for it. I was thinking $3400 or best offer but I want a fair price. I appreciate your input.
i don't think there was a 1998 powerstroke. i think they went from 1997 to 1999 when the superduty came out. they were out in 1998 but were considered 99's.
I'm assuming he is going by the build date on the engine tag. The 99 Super Duty actually started selling in jan/feb 98. So this engine would be for the Super Duty if my assumption is right.
The guys down in the 7.3L forum might be able to help you out a bit more (they don't always check this thread).
