My dad has a 1993 Dodge 3/4 ton with a 12 valve b series cummins. Not long after he got it we put a banks power pack on that helped the truck alot, went from 17 to 21 mpg with a whole bunch more acceleration. Unfortunately, the automatic trans behind it is not up to the task. About a year to the day after the banks install we finally diagnosed the chronic fluid leak, the cummins had broken the transmission case nearly all the way around. Its about 6 years later, the new tranny is leaking fluid now....have not investigated. I will say that thing would take a load, if I recall correctly there was 6500 lbs of steel in the bed of it once. I prefer the super duties....a whole lot more truck in my opinion. That cummins 12 valve though is one tough SOB, if Dodge ever decided to put a real driveline behind it ford would have real competition.
