I've just completed gutting my interior from my 99 Ranger Super Cab. I had previously picked up a set of powered leather explorer seats from a 1997 explorer from the junk yard. I had read that they will fit without a problem, and they do, however I've run into one problem.
I was trying to migrate the seat belts from my ranger seats to the explorer seats but it appears the explorer uses different belts? There also seems to be an extra "rail" on these seats that are not on my old ranger ones (It's the black metal rail on the explorer seat.) I have also included a picture of the seatbelt I am trying to attach. Any idea on what that rail is used for? Also any ideas on how to migrate seat belts?
I am not sure as yours are different than the ones I got from an 01 for my 94. I used my trucks seat belt system so I didnt use any of the explorers as to the rail I dont know what its for but I extended mine to work with my seat belts also the ones I got dont have all the holes in them like these. As my truck is older I dont know how your original belts hooked up, mine were to the floor in back of the seat.
