"Opacity" is not to exceed 30 here in Tucson, mine also blew a "0". Might go by year of vehicle too.

Do they just scan the computer down there or do they make you red line also? I need to go outside and look but I think I am leaking more oil now that I had to do this yesterday......

I had to run mine on the rollers between 45 - 52 mph or something like that, then they take the reading. I didn't have to redline it. Better get that leak fixed. G2G is just around the corner.

Why would they make you redline your truck Cris? That doesn't seem feasible for testing. Most engines don't like to be redlined. That could do some damage. I hate emissions testing!!!

I have no idea why I had to red line. It scared the crap out of me..... I wanted to go on the rollers but they wouldnt let me all the way in the bay I am guessing because of the potential of smoke. They even had a guy stand next to my door to make sure I had the RPM's up high enough each time I did it.

Wow. I have never taken a Diesel through emissions, only gassers. Maybe others can chime in on this and share their experiences. Something just doesn't seem right.

which emission station did you go to?

I have seen plenty of diesel trucks tested at 48th street and washington!

They were hooking up an all wheel drive astro van on the rear wheel rollers....

I went to an emissions testing place out here by me at Cooper at Germann. I am sure what they did to Big Red was the norm but being my first time I was alittle shocked.

I have to have a sleep test...

i told the doc, I lay my head down, i fall asleep...no problem...

He suspects apnea...so I have the test scheduled for the 27th at 830 pm...

I need to have a physical and bloodwork for my health plan....

so see my Dr the 28th at 9 am...and the cardiologist at 3 pm on the 28th...

So I took the whole day off!! 3 day weekend for the G2G!
