Hey guys,
I finally got around to installing my 6.0 trans cooler today. This was prolly the easiest install I've ever done. I got every thing mounted and hooked up. I started my truck, left it in park to check for leaks, after about 5 seconds here it came from above the bottom mount on the drivers side. I plainly asked the guy at the junk yard if it had been tested, he said it HAD been tested and was perfect. I guess when I call him tomorrow we'll see how he likes buying back his perfect trans cooler. Sorry I just need to vent a little.
Thanks guys, Believe it or not it's easier to put in the 6.0 cooler than it is to do the factory one. I've got a buddy at the local Ford store, I'm gonna give him a call tomorrow and see if he will hook me up with a new one.
I've got a stupid question to add to this. Does it matter which cooler inlet is supply and which is return? If so how can you tell which is which?
Thanks
I would assume it would be the same but i never got in close to my father inlaws 6.0 excursion that he had to really find out. I think it a safe and important question to ask, bump.
I talked to the guy at the junk yard this morning. He said that he had another one, and that he would thoroughly test it and get back to me this afternoon. I haven't heard back from him yet, but at least he is willing to work with me on this.

That's good news Huck! Let us know how you make out.
Good deal, Huck. I hope this all works out for you. I have installed parts before that gave me problems. No fun at all having to do something over when it's not your fault. I'm sure he'll check it out good and it'll be alright.
I wish I could be there when they test it, but it's about 80k away and I can't get out of work. He called this morning and said that he had a good'n and would ship it today. So far they've been great to work with. Hopefully this one will be alright.
