Resurrecting this thread since we've moved and I now have to park the Ex under some cedars. Cedars are a very dirty tree, so I'm considering a cover. Currently driving the truck about once a week.
The post above about the cover chewing up the clear coat concerns me, though. How to avoid that? Could I be better off just washing the truck once a week or so?
Just resurrecting this thread from the dead. Is anyone currently using a cover on the Ex when it's in storage ?
We use ours once every other week , and when it's not being driven it just sits outside. It's killing me , I'm looking for someway to keep it out of the elements both in the summer and winter. Calcarcovers look great but I just can't swing $500 for one, $200 I can do.
Any suggestions ?
Buy a large windshield shade @ auto part store & crack your windows, if you have rain guards in the summer. I'm lucky to keep mine in a/c-heated shop during the week.

That is probably what I'll end up doing, a cover is going to be a PITA expecially having to take the cargo basket of and on.

That is what I'm afraid of ! Headlights getting all hazed over, paint fading , etc. I guess the only thing I can do is every other week back the truck in so the patina is even on both sides !
