Found a 93 Mazda 4x4 sing cab, 5 speed, 140500 miles looks like it is in good for the age they want 2800. I am a Ranger fan and love my 05 xl 2wd but looking for a woods and camping truck. Know little about Mazda. Any comments or things to look out for? Thanks.
The B2600 was a carbed 2.6l four cylinder Mazda engine, not a bad rig.
The B2600i (you can tell it by the hood bulge) wasn't a Mazda engine, but actually a fuel injected Mitsubishi engine. Again, not a bad rig, but there are a couple problems to keep an eye on- First off, it does use a mass air sensor, but it's very sensitive. That's related to the only real problem these trucks have, which is severe rich running to the point of misfire, or not even being able to start due to flooding. This problem is nearly always either the intake boot being ripped, or the computer is bad. Neither is an overly hard fix, and otherwise they are a pretty decent truck.
R031Kona ouch that sounds like something I would say. I have four trucks and they are all Fords.
Ford Six thanks that the kind if information I was looking for.
I think I am just going to have to settle for a V6 extended cab Ranger. This was just to be a back road truck and I wanted Ranger short wb, regular cab 4x4 with a 4cyl and all manual had an 86 STX and it was great. Figured if the toy was cheap enough I could still buy gas to drive it. Thanks all at FTE.
