This Has Really Been Bugging Me....

Our very small back yard has been infested and over taken by Giant Cicada Killer Wasps. Hundreds of them. Big and scary. The males are very aggressive but, don't sting. The females are less aggressive but, they are the mean ones (go figure) and have a pretty bad sting.

$ 150.00 for the local bug boys this morning seems to have done the trick. I hope. The exterminater said he had never seen a infestation like we had.

What's That Bug: CIcada Killer Wasps

Those are some evil looking bugs right there. Did you try to take care of them yourself before you called in the reinforcements?

Used about 6 cans of wasp spray. I was significantly out numbered and it took close range direct hits to take 'em down.

Special Ops did a fine job but, there are survivors.

On a side note. There are a couple of dozen dead locusts in my deck. Food source is being depleted.

Well, here they are again. Sumbitches.

Only a few in the back yard but the East side of the house is loaded with the *******s now.

Been dealing with theses bugs for the past six years. Last year, we tilled up the back yard, after their return to dormancy, and replanted grass. Now they are just around the perimeter of the grass. On the side yard they are flying in a frenzy.

Another couple hundred dollars down the bug hole.

They make a "twang" sound when you hit them. In the beginning, I even named my tennis racket Shania.

Shania Twang!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

Find out where they're "holed up" and burn 'em out, after they bed down for the night.

Or, as one of my neighbors would say, "Nuke 'em from space. It's the only way to be sure!"
(But then again..... that's his response to everything!)

Reminds me of "Starship Troopers"........They were having a bad bug problem too......."Rico! Nuke em!!!!"
All we get is yellowjackets out here, but they get REAL mad when you nuke their nests with a 10-22 then chemical attack them after dark.
