I have til Weds to decide on another 02 7.3L Excursion.But..I need some questions answered
1)Theres a knock in the front end. Ball joints look newer and there are newer coter pins in other suspension components. What would the knock be?
2)Volume control on steering wheel is inop. Am I missing something?
3) Has 2 DVD screens(audiovox)but no player. Any idea of a replacement cost?
4) Has a howl from the turbo. I drove other Diesels without noticing the howl
5) A patch of carpet under drivers seat is missing exposing the wiring harness. Harness looks ok but there is an off color patch of carpet covering up the hole. Anyone replace there carpet and what would the cost be?
6) Needs 4 new tires. Est from Tire Rack is $1000
Dealer wanted $20490 but its been in there inventory for 58 days and now its down at our Auto Auction for wholesale. In NJ trucks IMO are in the toilet and getting cheaper. I'd love to have a Diesel but not for that price. It also might be a mute point because the truck is Black and I prefer White but if you guys can give me some idea of what these problems and a ballpark cost of everything then I might sell my Expedition and just have to spend more time washing a Black truck.
I wouldnt pay more than 9k for it... To many issues in my opinion to pay anywhere near that price. And if you really want white dont settle with black, trust me!!! Black is a pain in the butt and I will never get another car in black...
So tell me what do you use to keep it from getting swirls? That is what I am dealing with on my mustang...
Don't get me wrong black is the hottest color car BUT the hardest to keep clean and un-scratched. And stupid me just put a nice swirl scratch on the hood...

sorry to
microfiber towels are the only thing that should touch that surface. I haven't had any swirls on it yet. if you have em already, meguiar's swirl remover is 'ok' - though i only had to use it on my older white 96 stang, while zaino seems to work better on black cars. if you do go zaino though, get the whole treatment, it seems like a lot to pay to keep it clean, but believe me, it's worth it.
I have to say...I have stared and stared at that photo for the past 47+ hours straight. I hadn't blinked and my eyes got so freaking dry I went thru 3 bottles of Visine keeping them wet...
I can say with 100% certainty...there is NO VEHICLE in that photo!
