I bought a frozen cornish game hen just to try something different. (I thought it was "game", turns out it's just a regular young chicken) Thawed it out and put it in a pot with some water, garlic and Mrs. Dash seasoning. Cooked it till it was tender and then stuck it in the oven to brown it a little. That thing was delicious! Next time I'm gonna try it on the grill!
Those things are fantastic, I've always loved them.
A lot of stores overstock them since they come in frozen. They usually wrap them in pairs. When there's a sale on them I'll buy up 4 or 6 and toss them in the deep freezer. Great for soups, making a hearty meal for one or, as you mentioned, grilling.
Mmmmm I might have to go thaw a couple. The wife will be lucky if I let her have any.
I stuff, bake and baste them just like a turkey. They take much less time to cook than bigger fowl. Very very tasty and the meat just falls off the bone. Yummy

That is basically all it is. It is a 4 week old cornish rock. They sure are good though. Years ago I could get those things for 75 cents a piece at Walmart. After 2 trips of me buying them out they went up close to 2 dollars. Have not bought one since so dunno what the price is now. One of those hens and some Mac and cheese you have a good quick meal.
