Well, assuming I don't get my *** shot or blown up while in Iraq this Jan-Oct 2009, I want to do some mods/upgrades when I get back and (hopefully if the wife doesn't spend it) have some cash ready to spend;
Now I kinda like the Aussie tips from Grand Rock http://www.grpipes.com/GrandRock_2007.pdf (pages 16-22) but am between those and the mitre cuts. I don't like the bull haulers though those things are just a little too lengthy for my tastes.
I'd like to hear from everyone, to kinda get a feel of what ya'll like, and what you think might look better on a red Dually.
I AM a big fan of Mitre cuts dually or otherwise. I think they look the best if you ar going dual stacks. I would go at least 6 inch but prefer the 7's.
I think the Aussie stacks look like you had some sweet mitre cut stacks, and then drove like a new Dogde owner and hit something and bent them up. Mitre's are simple and clean looking; Aussies look like leftover parts put to use. Obviously I'm in the minority, but you asked.
i'd only ever get stacks if i really didn't plan on towing anything... but then, why have the truck? there was a recent thread about having to clean off a boat, then stories of dirty travel trailers.... I'm all for a cool ride, and really do like the look of some 5" or 6" mitres, but not if it makes everything else filthy & look like a turd
I'd go with the Miter cuts but you might watn to look up the new black chrome stacks, I saw an installation article on them in a magazine and they are awesome. Good luck over there, come back safe, and Thanks.
I'm with Brendan -- I don't care for 'em at all. Except maybe on big dually long bed, then I'd get turn-outs. But even then, that's iffy. I'd be PISSED the first time I had to clean soot off something I pulled (especially that shiny new flats boat I want when I move back to FL!!)...

Are you talking about the ones with the big Fan in the back so they can go over swamps?
