Guys and Gals,
Last night my 53 decided to leave me at work. I was getting a clicking sound and then nothing. When my father in law arrived we found that one of my battery cables was barely on the post, and the other one was barely connected to the battery cable. I took both cables off last night after getting home and I am going to buy a new set.
There are rubberized cable holders in a few spots on the frame. Where can I get these rubberized grommet things?
There's a picture of it on my gallery under 1953 f100s.
Thanks...
Jeff
Just about any automotive place should have them -- NAPA for sure, Checker, AZ. Hot rod/speed shops too. RV parts shops have a lot of stuff for 12v electrical systems.
Ross,
This is a 6 volt. I am going to get the cables from early ford v8 sales here in N.Y. The grommet things are what I was wondering about.
Thanks, I will try my local car quest store...
Jeff
