Hey guys, I can't seem to keep a speedo cable in my truck since I put the T19 tranny in???? (I'm replacing my 4th & it's only been a couple of months since I swapped trannys. Cable keeps twisting off at the speedo head.) 66 f100, 2wheel drive, 240 CID. Had a light duty 3 speed- swapped to a T19. I'm using the orginal cable housing from the 3 speed & universal cables from the local Napa store. Before I swapped, I had no problems and the speedo head seems fine. I'm confused ... Does the T19 require a longer cable than my 64"?HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes.
Your original 3 speed cable & housing is 60.00" (C3TZ17260BY).
1964's used Warner T-98's and with that trans, the cable is 77.00" long: (C3TZ17260Y .. Speedo Cable & Housing). This cable should work just fine.
The above cable is obsolete but three Ford dealers still have one in stock:
Matlock Ford-Mercury in Franklin IN has one / Burns Ford-Mercury in Lancaster SC has one / White Ford Company in Chiefland FL has one.
