I've ran tunes from a few companies, and a few different burns from a couple of companies.

In my truck with my BTS trans, 38" tires and 4.56s I prefer the responsiveness and shifting of the TS Performance tunes that I currently run.

TS, DP, DI, BTS, etc, etc, etc, all make some good tunes with lots of happy users, IMO.

I have the DP Tuner installed for just over 2 weeks. Not familiar with TS chip, but can tell you vs DiabloSport Predator tuner.

1. The 80 economy tune has more ***** (Can I say that? We'll see!) than the DS 100HP tune.

2. I am driving it this week to and from work. 86 miles R/T; 90% freeway. I have 405 miles on it, and still have 1/2 tank. I did a test last week, 273 mi @ 16.6 mpg, but that was about 80% freeway, and a couple cases of !

3. The 120 Race tune screams!!

FWIW, my vote is DP

I raced a friend of mine the other day that has a Superchip......I was in my 80 econo setting on the DP, and he was in his 90 hp MAX setting. Off the line we were similar.....but within 100 feet I started to pull ahead already, I actually backed out of it a little to let him catch up.....I looked over and grinned, then floored it. The race was over shortly when he was in my trail of smoke DP Tuner!!!

I don't think Jody got his "start" at TS. He kinda adopted the company from Bill, formerly known as "Bill's Chips" and then later "Diesel Power Products", which in turn became "DP Tuner". Bill is now at Edge at last sighting programming for them. He did use TS blanks before the F5 though, but that was the only connection I believe.
With that said, I would not take a TS tune if you handed me one for free! I ordered one a few years back, then turned the truck over to my foreman and then without even installing the chip, sent it back for a refund. They deducted a 30% "restocking" fee from by refund and said tough luck...that's the rule. I told them to look at their return policy which clearly stated FULL refunds were given for uninstalled, originally packaged items. I was told the owner was pretty strict about the policy and there was nothing they could do. I guess their business is so bad they need to screw people out of money with that bs restocking fee. If they said they were broke, I would lent them the money...all they had to do was ask! That is when I talked with Jody and he has more than taken care of me! Stay away from TS. Besides their tunes are Dinosaurs by comparison to Jody's.

Well. let me give you a little history lesson. I was a member of FTE starting in 2002. I have well over 3000 posts. It has been some time since I have posted on this site and my user id appears to be invalid, so in order to make things easy, I went ahead and signed up under a different name. I was probably what you refer to as a veteran before you even had a driver license.
I am absolutely sure I know what I am talking about, believe me. I HAVE experience with both companies tunes. I admit I have never tried TS tunes in my personal truck, but have driven many with them....that is why I decided to give them a try, but if you READ my post, I never said anything about their tunes, I merely commented on their customer service and business practices, which led me to the decision to go with Jody. Heck, I was dealing with him when he was just doing the tuning thing part time before DP Tuner was called DP Tuner. His customer service and continuing knowledge is second to none and that is the recommendation I am making here. So, my friend, don't judge your comments based on ignorance because you just might not have any idea what you are talking about. Think about it.

Well since you are a "veteran" you obviously have seen many NewB's come on here and bash a product, don't get your panties in a bunch so quick, just trying to stay positive here. I have NEVER heard anything bad about Tony Wildman's tunes until your post. I don't even HAVE his tunes! But I know I've been reading/posting here long enough to sniff out BS.......Wildman makes a great product.....period. Anyways......enough of that lol. Doubtful you were a "veteran" before I was driving.....my training wheels have been off for about 20 years now (I'm 36) in case you can't add Sorry to flame it & make it personal, but I'm just not the type to be "talked down to"

i've had a ts chip was sortof impressive kinda made the truck run like crap, had hypermax stacked with a banks six gun that was decent then finally bit the bullet after reading tons of posts about dp tuner and won't be going with anything else except if i send the chip back to be reburned for mods i'll put the hypermax back on because driving a stock truck sucks

Tony Wildman can program a TS chip -- that's what I have in my truck right now. TW's tunes on a TS chip. That's probably where the confusion is coming from. I previously had a DP F5, and the only reasons I swapped it are because I have personally ridden in a truck with TW's tunes (Rich-WhiteBuffalo's truck -- Tony can definitely tune a truck!!), and he lives a few miles from me. I can't get better customer service than that. I want a different tune or change, I make a phone call and meet him for lunch...

BUT back on topic, if you're really on the fence about these, just look at the numbers. There have been close to zero issues with DP or TW. There have been issues (numerous!) with any others you can come up with. Hope this helps...

In all fairness, I was not atempting to talk down to you in any way, I was merely defending myself against what you "thought" was a "newb" coming in here with a bit of knowledge. If you do not like to be "talked down to" as you say, then THINK before you comment about another person on this forum before you even know who you are talking about.
Please go back and try to READ my post. Once again, I am not BASHING anybodies product, I am commenting on a BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? I never said anything about TS Performance tunes being good or bad. I DID say they were Dinosaurs compared to Jody's tunes because now TS seems to be heavily into Dodge tuning. And as for Tony Wildman........I'll ask this as a VETERAN and not a newb, What does he have to do with Jody Tipton? It seems as though I might be able to teach you a few things after all.

Thank you for your kind words everyone.

We love what we do. It's not just a job to us. To read story's that still after 5 years Jody continues t make people happy with his tuning makes me realize it IS the best move our family ever made.

Well, Diane thank you for the correction. I was a little close wasn't I. Jody did tell me the whole story close to five years ago when he would answer the cell at 5:00 a.m. while doing IT work. It seems as though time flies and I maybe, possibly forgot some of the details, but I had good intentions anyway.
Congrats on your continued success and keep up the good work!
