Just wanted to tell ya I was still checking in and want to get to a meeting sometime soon - been spending my time in the Body and Paint section, trying to help out where I can. (Also spend time on Garaeg Journal, MoparStyle and some others...).
Anything good coming up?
If there isn`t enough interested in a meeting we can have it here at my place some time this week end.
Throw on afew wieners, sit around BS~ing and call it good!
That always works too, even if we lick clean a 12 pack it'll still be healthier then the crap at A&W.
Plus then we get to gock and turn some wrenchs on your 56&53.
Sounds like a plan.
It would be good to get the 53 cab on and some of it together together so I can start figuring out how to do the new steering setup.
I got a idea for the steering take all the car suspension and power steering crap, and dig up the old one. I think we should work on the 56 personally.
i agree with ryan but the steering mock up interests me as im thinking about changing my colun as it interfers with my seating postion witht he new buckets. Im going to have a 14" wheel with tilt, but still armstrong steering (hopefully). O and i located that blower motor to return to you, I ordered a new one but its on back order and should be here in a week or so

I want ps, power disc brakes and the independent front suspension along with the 302.....
Since the 80 Mercury car front clip has been put on not much from the original steering/suspension will work and I suspect that the 53 steering gear box is well worn out.
I still want to use the original steering cloumn if at all possible.

why not find a ford car column from say early 70's (the metal ones not the plastic ones), you would get tilt to go with the ps and all you would really have to do is measure how long the shaft would have to be and how many u joints youd need to reach the rack. the stock steering box wouldnt work with therack n pinion steering as the column is a straight pipe with a gear at the end so its direct drive. My opinion is do the early 70's with tilt
of course everyone's got next weekend marked on their calenders??
ahhhh - what's next weekend?
Believe it or not (*I keep saying to myself) I gotta go to a re-union for some relative on the "other" side this weekend...
I see the Mustand/Ford show at Jubillee is the 19th - that right? I'm headin' to Regina for the game same day, but I'll be there in the am. Maybe some of you guys wanna do a garage tour at my place Friday night (18th)? Either way, I'll meet some of you that weekend hopefully!
Oh Morris, I guess I should mention if you still got that 223 for sale, If it isn't unseized I guess I'll buy it from you, For some stupid reason I'm still gonna fix up my 1964.
