1990 F250 AC I have power to the dryer but none at the compressor. Jumped the plug at the dryer still nothing. Hot wired the compressor and it runs. Other then a bad wire what could it be?

I have a Haynes Book here with thier wire diagram in. From what i can tell the hot wire goes from the preasure switch to a clutch resister diode and then to the compressor. So two questions: Where can I look for this diode and the second do i really need it or can i run the wire from the preassure switch to the compressor. Bet you get a laugh out of that one.

Have you checked your control panel? Maybe bad contacts in it?Bronco894x4

Follow your wires out, somewhere after the low pressure switch on your drier there is a clutch resistor diode. It is in the circuit between the pressure cutout switch and the compressor clutch. That sounds like the culprit.
