I have a 05 fx4 scab,I called my dealership and they have never heard of that recall!!He told me he would look into it and find out if they have the parts to fix it and call me back.I gave him the recall number and my vin still havent heard back.
I had mine done last week, it took about an hour, longer for 4x4 models. I just don't get the dealer not knowing about a recall, they should know first, and be ready for all the trucks they sold-have enough parts on hand.
My recall states '05-'06 F-150 and Mark LT I do not think this recall is for the '08 model.
I got mine a couple of weeks ago. It took ford a week to gets the parts; then they claim I need to schedule an appointment and that it will take a 1/2 day or longer.
i just got mine back from the dealer today.... they said they changed it, but when i looked under the hood, every hose there was the same..... coated with a road grime film.. i would think that one would look brand new since they "fixed the recall". so, can anyone post a pic on which exact hose it is so i can verify this?
i would hate to think that that are lying to me and then have my brakes fail because of this.... or maybe i would like it.... im thinking free service for quite a while based on their neglect !!!
Took my 06 screw in this morning. I called them and they said they would work me in today since I was in town and save me a trip back later. Excel Ford in Cabot AR is a great dealership. They have always bent over backwards for me even though I didn't buy from them.(selling dealer sold and moved locations)
I got my letter a week ago, calls for 04 thru 06 F150's, mine is an 06. They said it would take about 4 hours, trying to get an appoinment is like pulling teeth.

The hose gets changed from under the truck. You won't see any sign of work done under the hood.
