I have a 1995 Bronco with a 302 and lately it has been lacking power badly. At idle it sounds completly fine but when you hit the throttle is sounds like it is sucking a ton of air. It still idles and runs fine it just lacks lots of power and i dont know the problem. Please help!
The water temp is fine it probably runs abit cooler then it should even. I pulled the codes and it read out some improper EGr flow code which was due to a bum sensor on the egr. But it runs like crap and it seems more rich then lean. It is extremely lopud when you get on it, it seems like it is pulling air hard from somewhere
ok well my truck has a single pipe system but doesnt have a muffler and just ends after the second stock cat. Could this be caused by an exhaust leak where the donut is on the manifold
The clogged cat will restrict air flow and rob your power. A quick check is to unbolt your manifold/header from your pipe and drive it. It does sound like a cat issue, good luck.
