Room for Headers?

hey, if any of you guys have a 351M in a 1966 f-100 i have a question for ya. i was thinking about getting a set of blackjack headers for it but after looking at the space i have on my drivers side between my powersteering box and my stock manifold im not sure it will fit or not.

Hello,
If your engine was installed with 73-79 engine stands and mounts, and is in the same relative posistion to the firewall as the bump side trucks, the headers for a 73-79 with a M motor will work.
I am in the middle of a changeover on a '66 two wheel drive, installing power steering and a 460. I used Hedman headers for a 74-79 2 wheel drive. They fit, no bumping or banging. The clearance is tight near the PS box, 1/2" or so, but nothing is touching.
Hope this helps. Good luck.

I dont remember which headers were used on my truck ( I did not do that part) but there needed to be a little nip and tuck to get the exhaust from not hitting the cross member when ever the stupid driver put his foot in the 4 barrel and sucked up a bunch of that $4.00+ gas. I added power steering after the motor from a 76 Ford and there was enough clearance.

Roger, any chance you can make our meet and greet on August 9th at the coast?
