A/C Compressor not staying on..
When my Bronco II is idling, the A/C compressor will not stay on. If I rev up the engine, it will come on and stay on and produce cold air. When not revved up, it comes on for like 3 seconds and then goes off, and continues this cycle. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help!

The expantion lets the compressor know when to shut off when freon gets low, as not to burn out the compressor.

It could be low on freon. But it could be that your fan on your truck doesn't pull enough air through it at idle. I have that problme with my car(electric fan is shot). I would look into the fan possiblity. Might be a bad clutch. If that doesn't do it then check the freon level.
