Pulse timing kit

I just recently purchased this timing kit online.

eBay Motors: ACTRON DIESEL INJECTOR PULSE AND HARNESS TESTER SNAP-ON (item 120274662842 end time Jun-29-08 18:45:00 PDT)

Is this the right kit that I need to time it since it is a pulse injector sensor. I was going to ask but was affraid that someone might bid on it and outbid me since everyone on here has an idi and no timing tools.(well most anyway so please don't be offended). I tried to run a search for this online but couldn't find it. The guy did not give me very much info on it either but I was told they were very expensive so I picked this one up. Was it worth it if it works when it arrives? I thought I had won it for 7.99 but the price jumped while I was at work. My max bid was 76 and thats exactly where the other guy stopped and ended.

Also, what is a harness tester? It says it is also a harness tester but I don't know what that means. Thanks

I would have helped ya' but I'm clueless about the whole thing...for now. Probably to change by the time this thread is done.

I hate to ruin your day but that is for testing the fuel system on a gas engine. I have the exact same tester for pulsing injectors to test them.

I hope its not for a gas!!! I will have to sell it. Im sure if it is advertiesed right then it will sell again but I was hoping to use it. oh well, I bought it thinking I might have bought the wrong thing. I e-mail the guy and he wouldn't reply and since it said Pulse Injector kit I thought it was for this. If not, There went some money till I get rid of it. Or I can keep it and use it to work on the gas cars/trucks I do anyway. It will work out. Sorry cummins (and dave SP). I did PM you both but should have just asked yall about. My bad. I wouldn't have known the difference but Dave S. (or somebody else on the sight) might have.
I would have put up a thread just saying you were "looking" at one and not said where at.

The fuel injector trigger box is what really says gas engine. Besides your gauge is for a gasser. If you want real diesel timing kit I have a Rotunda I don't use. PM if interested.
