Explorer Rear Swap on 57 F-100
#31
Villiage7, welcome to FTE. Do you live in V7, Colorado Springs? A few of us in the area. Remember the Explorer 8.8 is larger diameter than most so get the u bolts and be prepared to modify the spring pads for the larger od. AFAIK, the housing of the drum and disk brake axles are the same. Just remove the drum backing plate and replace with the disc brake parts. Some of the disc brake kits sold by hot rod parts vendors are just explorer parts. The clue is the drum e brake inside the rotor.
