nope i beleive it . snugs is a pushover with kids , but anyone walking down the street or comes up to the house she gets aggressive easy . mallethead on the other hand is hyper especially with kids , just loves 'em .he will bark and raise all kinds of crap but won't do anything unless you get agressive . i just say snugs has the lil' dog / person complex .................. as a side note i had two rotts at one time , harley the female and mack , the male , both trained dogs and they were the definition of bad a-- with you if the need arised . with the kids though , hades they would do all sorts of stupid things to 'em and the dogs would come back for more . god help you if you messed with the kids though . smartest one by far was a border collie i had , emmie , she would herd the kids where i wanted them to go amongst so many other inconceivable things she did .

I have has three of these little buggers and they can be quite aggressive. That is not to say they are mean. The first one we had would go into ground hog holes and fight them out. He was a great dog but he didn't take crap from any dog, or person. Just remember, they were originally bred to go after badgers. You gotta be tough to do that.

Later Guys...

Yep, I have one too.. Big Dog trapped in a little dog body..(like my wife too) Sniper will pick off the slowest guy entering the house.. girls he doesn't bother.. He is so funny, in the dining room the window sills are like 10 inches off the floor, and he can see down the street.. of course everyone must ask the great and Wonderful Sniper for permission to move about.. and he has become so upset that people aren't paying attention, he has grabbed the window sills to shake them.. so we have rows of teeth marks all across the sills..!

Just had his spine operated on in his neck, never a good sign to see big changes in behavior. looking good now, 6 days later.. 4 weeks to do to back to normal they say..

We have a schnauzer too.. brothers by different mothers we call em.

I know about dogs back surgeries....our beagle/aussie mix was chasing a squirrel-(his favorite pasttime) flipped over, and broke his back, and had surgery-4,000 bucks and well worth it. I almost put ELVIS down, but I never saw a dog that loved life as much as him,and he is 95% back to normal.
We had YUKON JACK a bichon--that lived to be 16 and Leah-mentioned above--and she just died at 17. GOOD FRIENDS!!! I MISS THEM!
I just hope the 2 we have left will do as well.
I am waiting for wife to post pics----should be along soon.....Bill

Well I know I'm a little late, but I finally found the picture I was after a couple weeks ago. My dogs Hershey and Maggie back in the mid-ninties in a Model A pickup. I shot this on Ilford 400 speed B&W film and printed it many years ago At photo school. I scanned the negative and viola...

That is a great picture. You ought to have it enlarged and framed. It has sort of a Thirties quality about it.

Later Man...
