mine was alright... we achieved a new family member off the side of the high way last night, a great big golden retriver, pretty old dog too... we named him cougar for now, due to me thinking he was a cougar on our first drive by him, his fur is matted all over, and looks as if he hasnt eatin in a month... so we think the was ditched by his previous owner.... to survive on his own... or get picked up by some one like me....
Nice job Billy...love the name...As for the decode...here goes...
F10 = f series 1/2 ton 2wd pickup
c = 292 2bbl carb.
R = san Jose, ca
431999 = July 63 build date
Color = BM = Turquoise and white...Corinthian that is
Trans = F = 4 speed Warner T98 I believe...or 89...
axle = 3.73 locking rear end
you guessed the GVW correctly
135 hp @ 3800 RPM is the engine specs
DSO = 73 = Salt Lake City
As many of these decodes as you have seen Billy, Im surprised you didnt know most of it already
i knew the f10 was f-100 2wd... and i figured bm was turquise and corinthian white, i wasnt sure about the trans, axle or manufacture loctaion of dealer... and i sort of figured it was a 292CI... wasnt 100% for sure on the carb though... but it does still have a data plate on that... so maybe some one would be able to decode that some time tomarow? so i can order a rebuild kit for it...
i knew the build date already from the vin decode on some place on the main page of this web site
alright, i will do that in the morning im to lazy to find a flash light and walk back down to my grandmas..
by the way, i was done there at my grandmas about 30 minutes ago with the dog, pieling stuff into the back, and had to move it, so fired it up... those headers scared the heck out of the dog... started running back to my house...
