Stereo power
I swaped an aftermarket deck in today,but there is no power going to the yellow wire,the red has power but not the yellow,I bought the adapter kit so I just colour match and plug in,but yellow is dead,I had to hook into the red to get power.

I haven't swapped the radio in my truck yet, nor looked behind it but I think typically automotive speaking yellow is your 'accessory power" that only comes on when the key is in the ignition and turned on. Test it with a volt meter to be sure.

If you are talking about the harness that is a "female" onto the factory plug that allows you to go color for color to an aftermarket radio, yellow is constant and red is switched. I would check your fuses. Possibly when you were wiring it up you popped one.
