Sunflower seeds

Most people I am around split the hulls, spit them out and eat the seed. I just chew the whole thing up and find it mighty fine.

Too much trouble for a little seed....but they are good! I try not eat them too often, too much salt, and the salt-free kind are just not right! I do toss a spoonfull on my salads!

I just drop a handful in my mouth and store it in one cheek and use the other side to crack open the shell and eat the seed than spit out the shell. Its almost like riding a bike once you get used to it, you can do it and not think about it.

I thought eating sunflower seeds was just the "newest thing to do" where I work. It seems everyone there does, including the one I work with. I sweep sunflower shells out of the truck everyday.

I've been eating 'David' brand sunflower seeds since around the early sixties; shell and all.

I don't have the patience to split and spit.

I'm a spitter - (knock it off, wise guys)

BBQ flavored seeds are pretty good, but I generally go with the "David & Sons" plain ol' seeds.

Must be a bear with dentures...... (just kidding)

I too, like the shelled sunflower seeds; unsalted; either raw or toasted.

I must not be addicted to sunflower seeds... I can go months without them, then I'll buy a bag and be off on a bender for a few days. They don't allow us to eat them at my town job, although for some reason chewing tobacco is allowed, and spitting in the trash cans does'nt seem to be as offensive as having a few errant hulls landing on the floor.

I split and spit the hull... and usually only like the plain ol' unflavored ones.
