F150 gas cap installation

If it's not the cap, then you have an evap leak somewhere in the system. Grab a propane tank (the small brazing kind, and do NOT light it) and run it around the hoses, and engine. When the idle picks up, BINGO...You found your leak. Normally I'd say "bring it to me, and I'll fix it", but I'm off today.

Late update:
I wish to say Thank You to Smokey Bear 31 for his advice on how to install the locked gas cap. I knew i could probally have cut the tether but did not wish to do so if there was a better way. I finially attached it Friday and have not had a "code" pop up. Of course, I did purchase a motorcraft one from the Ford dealer,all they had to know was if it was a 5.4L or 4.6L engine. Yes, I also paid out the $35.00 so I would not have any problems.
