Yeah!

I heard about that some time ago, more with a bent for environmental clean-up of spills, but why not use it in a contained environment and use the "byproducts"?

OK, they say they will feed these little fellers ag waste or wood chips. Now I'm thinking, we haul railroad car after railroad car of construction demolition waste that can't be burned for energy due to environmental concerns. So the stuff is packed into an unused mine or stacked toward heaven. Much of that waste is wood, not all, for sure, but much.

Why not seal up an old mine, outfit it with the equipment necessary, load it with construction debris or other material, flood it with the liquid necessary to carry the bacteria about, then pump out the oil so many weeks later?

Solves a bunch of problems all at once.

And if anyone does actually do this, I want a cut for the brainwork!

That's the idea.

But the whole thing makes you wonder if anyone really knows how petroleum is/was formed in the first place.
