When I first take off, when the truck hasn't been ran for a few hours the transmission seems to slip a little bit. I have to rev it up more than usual to get it to go anywhere. Maybe its just my transmission fluid i have in it. Anyone have recommendations?
Sounds like its starting off in a high gear. Next time try moving the lever through D, 2, and 1 to see if there is any difference. Could be a sticking valve.
Why do you think its the type of fluid you used?
what fluid did you use and how long ago did you change the fluid?
was the filter clear?
I did notice my C6 tried to start off in second gear a few times after a fluid change, but it corrected itself stortly ther after.
Im not sure of the fluid I used because it really didnt say all the bottle said is ATF. Ive been told two different types of fluid to use...I changed the fluid around winter time. Although we didnt change the filter because it looked clean. It only seems to do it after it sits for a while.
