Help!

I have an 08 f250 and after taking the rear bumper off for body work, when i put it back on the reverse lights and backup sensors dont work. All the connections are correct and i have checked them over and over... someone told me i have to take it to dealer to have something done to the computer???

This really sucks as i am off to the lake for vacation tomorrow and i cant haul my boat because the truck does not send the message to the trailer that it is in reverse and the trailer brake comes on when i try to back up!

If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure your brake connector is wired correctly? It sounds like the back-up light pin is powered to the brake pin.

There may be a manual lockout for your trailer brakes on the master cylinder of the boat trailer. This may get you through the week end. good luck
