Nothing new on either front... Found a sweet 06 Harley Edition F150 in Bellevue on Saturday, but it was only a 2wd. The salesman was heart broken when he couldn't talk me into test driving a new Silverado. My wife is on the war path with Lexus of Omaha. She was reviewing her credit report and discovered they ran a full inquiry when she was in there test driving a used RX330 a few months ago. She never filled out a credit app or gave her ssn either. They haven't been able to explain how that happened either...

I found another great house over here in Nebraska. It's been completely updated and has a sweet 26 X 36 heated shop. A great price too as the owners are already gone and need it sold, are taking a huge loss, etc. I feel their pain! But, the Nebraska tax thing is holding us back. I keep telling the wife it doesn't matter, the money we save in NE income tax will end up going towards a higher mortgage since comparable houses in SD are a lot more money.

Hey, that sounds like a nice place. If nothing else, you could always get it now, and find another place in SD later, and maybe make some money off of the sale of the NE place.

How did they run a credit check without an SSN? What a bunch of shysters! I'd be pissed too!

They had her data on file, apparently, since that's where she bought the car a couple years ago. Lexus is constantly bragging about how great they are, and how well they treat people... they're just another typical car dealer with a fancy show room.

The problem with the NE market in this area is it doesn't appreciate much at all. If we bought it now, chances are it wouldn't be worth a whole lot more down the line. The seller claims they have $236K in the house right now with all the updates but are now down to $190K on asking price. It's been on the market about a year too, that has us a little afraid of what the neighborhood is like. Others on that street have sold in the 170's but they didn't have the extra garage.

Ever since we got burned on selling the house in Omaha, we're really gun shy now. We have to give notice at the apartment by Sept 1, so we are running out of time.

Waaaahhh! I can't see it from work. Now I'm even more depressed!

Any of you guys want to take over making decisions for me the next couple months? The only requirement is that decisions can't bankrupt me and they have to keep the wife happy (although if it seems to keep the wife happy, I will become bankrupt! )

Well, there is a woman involved, so you know it's a complicated formula. I'm lousy at complicated math, so I don't think I could even give you the formula. Let's just say the end result is me with no money!
