Bilstein Shocks

I know many of you love these shocks, and since my truck is getting a little rough over the bumps again, I can either swap the monroe's under the lifetime warranty again, or give these bilstein's a try.

So my question is, how long do these front shocks last under the weight of the 7.3? I've got airbags in the rear so I'm not as worried about the weight on the back end.

I understand about the lifetime warrany, but since I don't exactly let the grass grow under my truck, I'm wanting to know roughly how long until they will need to be changed out.

I'm at about a year and a half and 60,000 miles on lots of off road/dirt road driving, still seem to be as good as the day I put them on.

So is Clux the only one who has put some miles on a set of Bilsteins?

Bump.

I just put mine on also so I cannot give any constructive feedback. Surely other have some time and miles on theirs to give an accurate assesment. Anyone? Bump

I put mine on with about 80K miles on the truck. I'm almost at 114K and they still feel new.

Thanks Travis, but I'll go another 20,000 before Christmas. From all the praise I've read about them I sure thought more people would have put some serious mileage on them by now.

My truck is my toy.....not the daily driver. I guess I should have said I've had the Bilsteins for almost 2 years. I've never heard of anybody wearing them out or being unhappy in any way!

I haven't heard any negative comments either, but it seems most people that have them are like you and don't put many miles on them. I was just wanting to know if they would go more miles than my Monroes (which I can get replaced for free) before I drop any money on something that will wear out just as quick.

So far it looks like Clux has the info I am looking for. I was just hoping for more high mileage feedback.

Well I have definitey beat the CRAP out of them offroading, and they hold up great. And towing they still handle the load well.....heaviest I tow is around 7000 lbs though. That's nuthin for our trucks. Too bad there isn't somebody close to you that has a set. Trust me.......it's like night and day with the ride quality. I always ran crappy Rancho's before, that only lasted like a year.....omg what a difference.
