I have a problem. I have enough money to do one of three mods. I have found a 6.0 trans cooler for $100.00, if someone doesnt beat me to it. I found a B&W gooseneck hitch for $250.00, again if somebody doesnt get it 1st. And last, pure power diesel has gauge sets for under $300.00, for a limited time. I know that I should prolly get the gauges, so that I can see the improvements in each mod. I hope to have all the supporting mods done to my truck before April. That way if I get to go to smokin', I can get my truck live tuned by Jody.
My truck has a cody hitch that was in it when I got it. If I didn't tow so much, I wouldn't care, but the way that it's designed, if you cross a bridge or your on a rough road, it beats you to death.
Come on guys, tell me how to spend my money.
Thanks
I agree with AKLIM, that sounds like a great price for the cooler. Just check it out real good for hairline cracks. Hitch would be my second choice, comfort wise.
The hitch is mounted to the frame. I don't see how any brand will 'ride' any better than another.....if your towing, get the guages.
Yes the hitch is mounted to the frame, but the ball slides in and out. So you can turn it over. You can pull the ball up about 2 inches when its locked in.
As long as the front of the trailer is heavier than the rest you're OK, but with a backhoe it sucks.
I would say go for the cooler for that fair of a price if it is in good shape if not go for the gauges. Though the B&W would be nice, it is all up to you and what you want to use your truck for. I have a B&W in my truck and dad has a B&W in both of his 3/4 ton trucks, they are a great investment and simple to install.
Well, so far I can't get the guy at the junk yard to return my calls about the cooler. I'm gonna keep trying him. Maybe he saw the cooler on ebay that's over $300 and changed his mind lol.
