2-DIN stereos

Has anyone on here installed a double-din head unit? If so, wht kind of cutting needs to be done to get it to fit. I'm looking at getting an Alpine IVA-W505 or IVA-W205 indash monitors

What's your year and model? That will determine what you can hold, although for all I remember all Expeditions/Excusions made thus far are double din, and almost all models fit. I know for my 04 all of the Alpine double din models fit just fine.

You have to trim the top and bottom off as the factory unit is noot a full double din as far as the chassis. It is not difficult. You may have to change out a pair of screws at the top to a flat head. Just use a dremel and take your time. You can get it done in a 1/2 hour. Just cut a little and test fit
