tint

I live in Florida. How much can i legally tint my windows? and if anyone knows, could they show me a picture of what that amount of tint would look like. i have a copper king ranch 05 250. thanks

Go to a automotive tint shop, they will know the legal limit of the tint and usually have samples of the the different types of tint they offer. A photo will not really help, you need to see how it looks under full sun.

I think we are at 28%, a nice number between what's available (25% and 30%). Now this only applies to the front side windows. The Rear side windows aren't usually limited, and I wouldn't go too dark on the rear, because the stock backup lights aren't enough. My truck has about 30% all around.

PW, check out my gallery. Im in florida and have the max amount on my windows. Tint shops will be able to let you know what the max is. Im thinking its 25% but not sure.

I'm pretty sure that reflective flame tint isn't legal

ok thanks for the answers. i guess i can go about 25 in the front and 15 in the rear. one other question, what percent tint would a 05 king ranch 250 have in the rear side windows? and if i wanna go darker, can a shop take that factory tint off to put darker tint on?

Factory tint is something like 45%, maybe as low as 35% so it's compliant with most state's laws. They can apply tint over the stock, and some times they have too because the glass is tinted rather than just a film. I think mine was tint over factory tint until the aftermarket failed and I had it replaced.
