tailpipe trouble

tailpipe trouble
i've got a 2001 f150 crew ,dual pipes out the back (one on either side of the trailer hitch) well they rusted where they were bent over the rear axle. I'm looking to replace them myself,but I can't find the tailpipes any place, allready bent.surely my f150 can't be the only one like this????I need an assist on this one. brutus .

Did you buy your F-150 new? I have NEVER seen a stock F-150 with rear duals, and having one on each side of the hitch. That definitely does not sound factory. The only trucks I have seen like that are limited special sport/racing models, and the new 09 dodge.

thank you ,I bought it used but i've seen a few like it around town (with the same exhaust any way) I just didn't think it was custom exhaust.the flowmax muffler is still ok but from there back bad . I thought it might be somthing I could order and do myself...... thanks again brutus
